Porter Cable 

Delta and Porter-Cable both began doing business in the early 1900s (1906 and 1919 respectively). Both companies had one goal in mind: “to provide quality tools and products that made the work of journeymen and professional craftsmen easier.” They focused on creating reliable tools of the highest quality. Both companies provided efficiency that reduced tasks from taking months to complete, down to days, even hours.

In 1960, Delta and Porter-Cable became a part of the same company. This partnership provided a wealth of patents and combined intellectual property from over 5 decades of excellence in woodworking power tools.

Both brands are proven leaders in their respective categories of stationary and bench top woodworking equipment and portable woodworking power tools. By the late 1990s, both companies began sharing manufacturing and distribution facilities in Jackson, Tennessee. In 2010, both companies were acquired Stanley in 2010.
